CMS Technology Limited traces its history to CMS Enhancements Inc. which was established in California USA in 1984. It was a major of Seagate hardware products and excelled in to promoting storage system.

To venture the Southeast Asia market , CMS enhancements(S) Pte Ltd was set up in Singapore in 1986. It manufactured its own products line, bringing QIC-02 tape drives into the regional market. Business network covered Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnman Taiwan, India and Japan. Have attained outstanding achievement in hard disk distribution in Singapore and Southeast Asia, the Company decided to extend its business to China and Hong Kong. CMS technology Limited was officially established in Hong Kong in 1988..

In the same year, CMS Technology Limited was appointed the main distributor of IBM hardware products not just in China , but also the Philippines and Vietnam . In 2000, the Company gained distributorship of IBM Mylex RAID Controller Card in Hong Kong and China . Business had since been picking fast. Besides the head office in Hong Kong, branch offices were set up in Guangzhou , Shanghai and Beijing to provide the customers in the region with efficient and proficient after-sales services and technical support.

The Company continued its business in good rapport with its new business partner, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Inc.,after the merger of Hitachi and IBM in 2003. In the same year, the famous America LSI Logic of SCSI Controller Card and RAID Controller Card were brought into the market, not just to keep the customers abreast of the trend but also to offer them better choices of high-end products in the advanced IT global market.
